A CROS (Contralateral Routing of Signal) hearing aid is designed for individuals who have unilateral hearing loss, where one ear has significant impairment while the other has normal or near-normal hearing. The device picks up sound from the impaired side and transmits it to the hearing aid in the functioning ear, helping the user to perceive sounds from both sides.
